Recovery mode provides additional features on your Android device. You can menual install operating system updates, wipe data / factory reset (wipe and restore factory settings) or wipe cache partition (delete a cache partition). And if you have a custom recovery already installed on your android device, you may be more options for installing Custom ROM, do a Nandroid backup and even modify your Android phone with a variety of system tweaks.
You can access the recovery mode with various methods. Android Crazy prefer the hard way by running ADB from our computer, but there is an easy method as well. First, you can access the recovery mode by pressing the key combination on your Android device (ie Volume Up + Power button) or by rebooting into Recovery Mode by using an application.
Method 1: Logging in Recovery Mode using Android Application (Root Only)

Step 2 - Connect your Android device to a PC with a USB cable and install the driver ADB (if necessary).
Step 3 - Navigate to the folder android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools and open a Command Prompt (Shift + Right-click anywhere in the folder> Open Command Prompt).
Step 4 - Type the following command and press Enter.
adb reboot recovery
Step 5 - Android device you will die and then boot into recovery mode. Navigation up and down using the volume keys.
